Solo exhibition They used to sing,
Irène Laub Gallery, Brussels, 2020.
In this exhibition, texts, landscapes, cartographies, photographs, sound installation and music scores depict a fenced world, with borders that are sometimes impassable although shifting and porous, where the mistreatment of workers and the overexploitation of its resources contribute to its degradation, and where bird songs and human languages are gradually disappearing. And yet, one equally discovers the ever-renewed capacity of the living to resist the inevitable and to reinvent its destiny.
