As an answer to Spinoza's question “What does the body can?”, this foldable piece represents different aspects — psychic as physical — of the body that connect us to the world, to others and to oneself.
The superimposed phrase — excerpted from a poem written by Freud for his friend Fliess, whose wife just gave birth — is about forming unity in the spirit when the body is disintegrating during lifetime.
