Sleeping Wings: gauze, hair, approx. 60 × 17 × 10 cm each.
Secrets: 100 cubes: gauze, hair, 8 cm per side each.
Sleeping Wings are air-filled cushions encircled by locks of hair.
Secrets represents the disparate lives of refugees, each with unvoiced hopes, memories, and secrets. I would have liked to collect all the stories and names while simultaneously acknowledging the impossibility of doing this.
The material used in this work is fragile, like the refugees' condition.
