I'm in transit, 2019.
Graphite pencil and printed paper on Canson paper 200 g/m², 20 × 80 cm (7.88 × 31.5 in).
Private collection, Belgium.
The printed and duplicated text is: — Where are you? — I'm in transit — But where are you? — I'm on my way to the end of the world.
This drawing is notably inspired by the statement of the German-Turkish writer and theatre actress Emine Sevgui Özdamar: “I am a person who prefers to be in transit. My favorite place is to sit on a train between different countries”.
